Employee Collection Drives

Throughout the year, Verizon employees and retirees share their time and expertise helping nonprofits and programs that support our key initiatives - education and domestic violence prevention and recovery.

In 2010, the Verizon Foundation’s domestic violence-focused employee giving campaigns, Shower for the Shelter and Hope for the Holidays, raised over $545,000 in donations benefitting more than 335 local domestic violence agencies across the country. Verizon employees donated children’s books and toys, as well as new clothing, personal care products, and household items for domestic violence survivors and their families.

In 2011, through the Verizon Foundation’s K-12 education-focused Tools for School campaign Verizon employees contributed more than $300,00 in school supplies benefitting more than 215 local schools and non-profit educational organizations throughout the US.
