Verizon Volunteer Programs

In 2008, Verizon employees volunteered more than 600,000 hours through activities like serving on their PTAs, coaching youth athletics, tutoring children, and participating in other community service activities. We value every hour volunteered by our employees. So whether you volunteer one hour a year or 1,000 make your volunteer hours count --track your hours using the Volunteer Journal.

• Track your volunteer hours / apply for a Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP) grant - U.S.- based Verizon employees can keep track all of their volunteer hours using the Volunteer Journal. If you log 50 or more hours with the same nonprofit organization/school, you are eligible to earn a $750 VIP grant for that organization.
