The Society for Nonprofit Organizations is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with members throughout the world. Since 1983 it has been providing nonprofit staff, volunteers, and board members with affordable resources and tools to work more effectively and efficiently toward accomplishing their mission. To assist nonprofits, the Society publishes Nonprofit World, a bimonthly management magazine and Funding Alert, a monthly E-newsletter providing grant information. VCG is a nonprofit organization that works regionally and nationally to strengthen the governing and management capability of nonprofit boards of directors. Regionally, VCG consults to boards on organizational and operational issues: structure, leadership succession and effective governance and oversight.
