Please Note: the campaign has been extended by one week, and will now end on December 21st! Season's Readings is Verizon's annual holiday employee-giving campaign that delivers children's books and materials donated by Verizon employees to children who need them the most.
Some participating locations are hosting a "Bring a Book to Work Day" on December 17th or 18th in support of the campaign. Please contact your nearest participating work location’s volunteer coordinator for more details - click on your state to the right to find the location nearest you.
Our goal this year is to collect 200,000 new and gently used children's books from employees to donate to local non-profit organizations and schools. Through this campaign, employees in all business groups can demonstrate their commitment to our local communities while bringing the joy of reading to thousands of children during the holiday season.
As a Verizon employee, you can support the campaign through the following ways:
- Donating new or gently-used children's books in specially-marked collection bins located at over 300 Verizon work locations throughout the US. Some work locations will host book-fairs, with a portion of the proceeds going back to the campaign. Please select your state from the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of this page and click on the "Go" button to find the participating location nearest you.
- You can make an online donation by purchasing new children's books that will be donated to designated non-profit organizations which are helping children develop a love for reading.
